German Energy Centre for Renewable Energy
and Energy Efficiency is established in November 2008, in corporation
with Germany and Macedonia. This project is supported by the German
Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development while the
implementation is carried out with the support of GIZ (Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) from Eschborn. It is
Public Private Partnerchip, between GIZ as represent of the public
sector and DGS (Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Sonnenenergie - German
company for Solar energy) and Phoenix Sonnenwaerm Company form Berlin
as representatives from the private sector.
The Integrated Business
Faculty from Skopje is a partner in this project and also the holder of
the Center for Macedonia.

The goal of the Centre is to transfer the latest knowledge in the area
of renewable energies and energy efficient form the experience in
Germany, as one of the leading countries in the world in regards to
this particular field of work.
The priorities of the project are:
A. Broad (large scale) and wide development and utilization of renewable energies.
B. Use of all potentialities for energy saving as a precondition for
usage of the renewable source of energy
part of its activities, the Center carried out training for
specializing on the topics of solar energy, solar thermia and energy
efficiency as integrated curricula for the IBF students and as courses
for specialization of all interested persons. The lectures take place
under the guidance of lecturers from Germany and the successful
completion of the courses students receive a certificate granted to
each of these topics.
